Longitudinal water sealing of cable bundles

The DERAY^® - Coldmelt - System is a simple and effective system for creating a 100% longitudinal water seal on any point in a cable bundle up to approx. 100 single leads without placing any significant thermal stress on the lead insulation.

The DERAY^® - Coldmelt - System consists of two components:

1. Black shrink tubing made of cross-linked polyethylene with an adhesive lining, shrink rate 3:1 to 4:1. The section length usually amounts to 50 mm.
2. A quantity of DERAY^® - Coldmelt - strips dependent on the number of leads, consisting of a butyl rubber strip that is resistant to 105⁰C. Section lengths: 50 mm, width: 19 mm, thickness: ca. 1.5 mm Both sides are provided with peelable release paper-strips

The DERAY^® - Duomelt system is a simple and effective system for creating a 100% longitudinal water seal on any point in a cable bundle up to approx. 70 single leads.

Large cable connections

The DERAY^® - Duomelt system consists of two components:

1. Transparent or black shrink tubing made of cross-linked polyethylene with an adhesive lining, shrink-rate 4:1. The section length is freely selectable.
2. Hot-melt strips dependent on the number of leads, consisting of an 85°C or 105⁰C hot-melt strip with an additional lining of butyl rubber for attachment of the strips in cable bundles.

The DERAY^® - Pressmelt system is a special sealing system, consisting of shrink tubing with an adhesive lining and a clip-on profile made of thermoplastic adhesive for 100% longitudinal water sealing.

Sealing of parallel connectors
Sealing of cap connectors

The DERAY^® - Pressmelt system consists of two components:

1. Shrink tubing made of cross-linked polyethylene with an adhesive lining, shrink rate 3:1 to 4:1. The section length is freely selectable.
2. A clip-on profile made out of a thermoplastic adhesive.

The DERAY^® - Pressmelt system is available in two temperature classes; heat resistant up to 85⁰C and to 105⁰C.
